The standard queen room was nicely updated with the futon, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Had multi-channel TV, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities.

Enjoyed our quiet and bright rooms.
the room we had included multi-channel tv, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. savoury breakfast with fresh croissants and hot options, for instance, and the staff was very-very nice and welcoming. the location was great, close to the park and the bar, restaurants, supermarkets, attractions and colleges and nearby bus stops, in a nice enough area.

The staff were superfriendly and amiable and know their duties.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were not very friendly.

I loved the place, it was clean & the staff were efficient and great. Choose single room with independent heating. Extras like a work desk, coffee and tea making equipment, and a TV were appreciated. The location of the hotel was central, near pubs, and all the colleges.

The blind was not working, we had a hard time to open or close it. Toilet was not working. There was no air condition in the room, which might be normal in England but when you open the window it was very noisy until around midnight. There was no shampoo or soap provided.

The location is spot-on, perfectly situated between the hustle of the town center and the peace of the park. Plus, the room was cozy with a good shower. Major win for value!

We were aghast to be charged £720 for two nights' lodging -- about twice the rate of a five star hotel. Room cramped. Interior bathroom/toilet had no exhaust fan, and several potentially dangerous wall switches. Venetian blinds broken. Visiting the guest house to see my surgeon prior to open heart surgery, my wife and I felt gouged and ripped off by a management determined to fleece its guests of their money.

Regency House is exactly what it claims to be! Clean, comfortable and unpretentious. Our room had everything we needed for our short stay: freeview TV, radio, hair-dryer, tea and coffee etc, and the continental breakfast was fabulous! We did have one small problem but this was dealt with promptly and effectively ...we also received an apology from the management which was all that was necessary. Thank-you! This guest-house is in a central location:-.great for shopping, restaurants, entertainment and with convenient transport links, so don't expect it to be quiet. Don't be put off by the fact that staff aren't always present. The house is secure and the arrangements for self-check-in are straightforward. Communications throughout the booking process were excellent. We had a lovely time!

Had a super comfy stay with a fantastic breakfast and a warm shower. The lounge area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, and I loved the cosy outdoor space to relax. The stairs were a bit steep, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. 😊

Good location.
Tiny room at ridiculously high price. Breakfast only available for one hour, from 8-9. Noisy due to pub next door. No secure luggage storage.

That we could come and go as we pleased as there was a code to the door rather than a lock up time. We liked the size of the room and that we had an ensuite.
That we were only supplied two pillows on the double bed and not four. The staff were an hour away and there were no evident spares.
